We were lucky enough to be linked with Primate Safaris via our Australian travel agent and we thoroughly enjoyed our three day visit.
Sam, our driver and guide was so friendly, happy and a great advocate of his country. He was helpful, knowledgeable and met any of our requests with no trouble.
We were looked after from the moment we were picked up to the time we were dropped off at the airport.
Of course our Gorilla trek to see the Sabinyo family was a highlight- but we also really enjoyed our city tour and time spent driving through the countryside.
Thankyou Sam, we had a wonderful visit to beautiful Rwanda and highly recommended others visit this wonderful country.

I used this guide service for a one day gorilla trek to Volcanoes National Park and also for a three day Chimp tracking trip in Nyungwe Forest National Park in May/June 2017. From the beginning of the planning process Joy in the main office was quick and thorough in her responses and was quick to reserve my primate permits (which can go pretty fast). When it came time to go on our tours our driver, Jackson, was very reliable and informative. A native Rwandan, Jackson was a wealth of knowledge and proved to be a great guide.

Planning trips to Rwanda’s national parks (especially Nyungwe) can be a pain without a guide to help with permits and driving. I am very happy I decided to use this guide service and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting East Africa.

Organised by Trailfinders, the guys at Primate Safaris are great. Robert and Hussein met me on arrival at Kigali Airport and ran through the itinerary with me.
Hussein was my driver and guide for the duration and he was a pleasure. Very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly, he gave me an great insight into Rwanda.
Always felt very safe while he was driving as the roads can be challenging at times. In the Virungas, he made sure I had good guides and groups in my 2 days of gorilla trekking (and what an unbelievable experience that was). He was happy to include a couple of trips to the Dian Fossey Fund in Ruhengeri too. Would thoroughly recommend this company for your Rwandan experience

Primate Safaris served as our guides for the four days and 3 nights my wife and I spent in Rwanda. We received a superior level of service and were treated exceptionally well.
Patrick was our guide. He met us at the airport and remained with us for the our entire visit. Patrick speaks 4 languages (English, French, Swahili and the local Rwanda language. His knowledge of Rwanda is exceptional and he was able to adapt to our every needs. While in Rwanda, we toured the capitol of Kigali, participated in the Gorilla and Golden Monkey treks and took in various sights in the vicinity of the Volcano National Park.
